# Mobile apps

> DevRaxo builds cross-platform mobile apps for iOS and Android from a single codebase, using frameworks such as React Native and Flutter. We handle design, development, backend integration, push notifications and the App Store and Google Play submission process, and hand over the source code and developer accounts.

- Area: [Web & product](https://devraxo.com/services/web/)
- Price: from £5,900. Apple and Google developer fees are paid by you directly.

## This is for you if
- Your customers or staff would genuinely use an app rather than a website.
- You need iOS and Android without paying for two separate builds.
- You want an app that talks to your existing systems.

## The problem
- **Two platforms doubles the cost.** Building natively for each doubles the work. For most products, one cross-platform codebase is the right trade.
- **Store review is a black box.** Rejections over small details can delay launch for weeks if nobody has done it before.
- **The app is an island.** An app disconnected from your data creates another place to keep up to date.

## How it works
1. **Decide whether you need an app.** We say honestly when a mobile-friendly web app does the job for far less.
2. **Design for thumbs.** Flows and screens prototyped and tested on real phones before any build begins.
3. **Build once, ship twice.** A single codebase for both platforms, with native features such as notifications, camera and location where needed.
4. **Submit and support.** We prepare store listings, handle review, and set up crash reporting and release tooling.

## What you get
- Design and prototype
- iOS and Android build
- Backend and API integration
- Push notifications
- App Store and Google Play submission
- Source code and developer accounts

## Questions
### React Native or Flutter?
Both are mature. We pick per project, based on the team you will have later, the features you need and the performance profile. We will show you why.

### Do I need an app, or will a website do?
Often a progressive web app or a responsive site is enough. If the features you need are not possible on the web, or the audience expects an app, we build one.

### Who owns the app and the store accounts?
You do. The developer accounts and the code are in your name, and we only use delegated access.

### How do you handle updates after launch?
You can run updates yourselves or take a care plan covering OS updates, bug fixes and store compliance.
