# Systems integration and APIs

> Systems integration connects separate business applications — CRM, accounting, e-commerce, booking, support — through APIs and webhooks so data moves between them automatically. DevRaxo builds reliable integrations with logging, retries and alerting, replacing manual re-entry and eliminating the inconsistencies between systems.

- Area: [CRM & integrations](https://devraxo.com/services/crm/)
- Price: from £1,900. Third-party API usage fees, if any, are paid to the provider.
- Timeline: 3–6 weeks

## This is for you if
- The same customer exists in three tools with three different spellings.
- Staff re-key data from one system into another every day.
- You need a custom connection that no off-the-shelf app provides.

## The problem
- **Each tool holds a different version of the truth.** When the website, CRM and spreadsheet disagree, every decision starts with an argument.
- **Point-to-point connections tangle.** Ten tools linked ten ways become a fragile web nobody dares touch.
- **Integrations fail quietly.** A broken sync that nobody notices corrupts data for weeks.

## How it works
1. **Map your systems and data flows.** A single diagram of what lives where, what should move, and which system is the source of truth for each fact.
2. **Design the integration properly.** Direct, queued or via a hub, chosen for volume and reliability, with clear ownership of every record.
3. **Build with retries and alerts.** Every sync is logged, transient errors retry automatically and real failures raise an alert.
4. **Document and monitor.** The diagram, the field mappings and a health check you can look at, so the next change is safe.

## What you get
- Systems and data-flow map
- Built and tested integrations
- Field-mapping documentation
- Error handling and alerts
- A health dashboard
- Handover notes

## Questions
### What if one of my tools has no API?
Many do, in some form. Where one truly does not, we look at export formats, email parsing or scheduled file transfers, and tell you the limits honestly.

### Should we use a platform like Zapier or build custom?
Platforms are quick for light flows. For volume, reliability or complex logic, custom code is cheaper in the long run. We show you both.

### How do you avoid duplicate or lost data?
By designing a single source of truth per field, using idempotent syncs and logging every change, so a repeat is harmless and a failure is visible.

### Can you integrate with legacy software?
Often yes, through databases, files or a thin API wrapper. We assess it first.
