# Workflow automation

> Workflow automation connects the software your business already uses so that a trigger in one tool — a form, a payment, a status change — automatically completes the next steps in others. DevRaxo designs flows with logging, error handling and human approval points, so they keep working and stay under your control.

- Area: [AI & automation](https://devraxo.com/services/ai/)
- Price: from £900. Per-task platform fees, if any, are passed through at cost.
- Timeline: 2–4 weeks

## This is for you if
- Someone on your team spends hours a week moving data between systems by hand.
- Work stalls because a step depends on someone remembering to do it.
- You have tried no-code automations that broke silently.

## The problem
- **The glue is a person.** Your most careful employee is the integration between two systems, and the process stops when they are off.
- **Silent failures.** A flow that breaks without telling anyone is worse than no flow, because people trust it.
- **Nobody can see how it runs.** Automations built piecemeal become a tangle only their author understands.

## How it works
1. **Map the process as it really runs.** We follow the work, not the org chart, and find the steps that are repeated, rule-based and safe to automate.
2. **Choose the right tool for each flow.** Off-the-shelf automation where it is enough; code where reliability or volume demands it. We tell you why.
3. **Build with logs and alerts.** Every run is recorded, every failure raises an alert, and risky steps wait for a person’s approval.
4. **Document and hand over.** A diagram and a plain-English description of each flow, so the next person can change it safely.

## What you get
- Mapped and prioritised process list
- Built, tested automations
- Approval steps where needed
- Run logs and failure alerts
- Flow diagrams and documentation
- Handover training

## Questions
### Which tools can you connect?
Most business software has an API or an integration: CRMs, accounting, calendars, forms, email, spreadsheets, e-commerce platforms. If one does not, we say so on day one.

### What should not be automated?
Anything high-risk or highly variable — legal judgments, medical decisions, one-off exceptions. We will tell you when a person should stay in the loop.

### Do I need to keep paying a platform fee?
It depends on the tool chosen. We show the ongoing cost of each option before you pick one, and prefer options you can run yourselves.

### How do I know it is still working?
Every run is logged and failures alert you immediately. A care plan adds monitoring and fixes if you would rather not watch it yourself.
